Is Cubewords free?

Yes. Today's easy cube is free. Cubewords Plus is an optional monthly or yearly subscription that opens the medium and hard cubes, the monthly mega cube and all past days. It also includes more looks and win animations.

How is it different from a normal crossword?

The crossword wraps around a cube. Words can cross an edge and continue on another face, so turning the cube is part of solving it. You still solve clues and use crossing letters to find the answers.

Is it like Wordle?

Both give you a daily word puzzle. In Cubewords you solve crossword clues on six connected faces, rather than guessing one five-letter word. There's also Wordwind, a daily word find on a cube.

Play in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer. Also available on Google Play.

What makes it a beautiful word game?

The cube changes with the look you choose: warm paper, colored light, neon letters or glass. Finish a puzzle and the cube peels apart, unfolds or rebuilds itself. The looks gallery shows what that means.

How many puzzles are there each day?

Three crossword cubes: easy, medium and hard. Wordwind is a separate daily word find. On the first Sunday of each month, the hard crossword is the larger mega cube.

Can I play an older puzzle?

Yes, with Cubewords Plus. Open Puzzles to choose a past day.

Are the puzzles in English?

Yes. The clues and answers are in English, even when the app's menus are in another language.

Can I play with friends?

You can share a link to the cube you solved and compare results on the Friends board. A shared medium, hard or older cube still requires Plus.

Does my progress carry across devices?

Sign in with Apple or Google to save your progress across devices and the web.
